This policy covers Emerald Detailing, a mobile car detailing business based in Canoga Park, California, and this website. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to book and do the job, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
When you book
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The service address where your vehicle will be
- Your vehicle (year, make, model and color)
- The services, date and time you choose
- Any notes you add, such as gate codes, parking details or water and power access
When you send a message or ask for a quote
Your name and email, plus anything else you choose to give us: phone number, ZIP code, vehicle, the service you are asking about and your message.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card or wallet details on Stripe's secure checkout page, so card numbers never touch our servers. We receive confirmation of the payment and the amount, not your full card number.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy friendly tool that counts page views and shows which pages are useful. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites.
Google Analytics is used only if we turn it on. When it is on, it uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site. You can block those cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt out browser add-on.
How we use your information
- To schedule your appointment and do the work at your address
- To contact you about your booking, for example confirmations, changes or weather
- To take payments and give refunds
- To answer your messages and quote requests
- To keep the business and tax records we are required to keep
- To protect the site and our customers from spam, fraud and abuse
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their part:
- Stripe processes payments and refunds, and keeps the record of each booking with its payment.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides the analytics described above.
- Resend sends our emails, such as booking confirmations and messages from the contact form.
- Google provides Google Analytics, only if it is turned on.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to provide the service and to meet accounting, tax and legal requirements. Messages you send us stay in our email until we no longer need them.
Keeping it safe
This site uses HTTPS, payments run through Stripe, and the link to manage your booking is unique to you. Please keep that link private, since anyone with it can view or change your booking.
Your privacy rights, including California residents
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
To make a request, email emeralddetailing01@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm details of your booking so we know the request is really from you. Some records, such as payment records, may need to be kept for legal or tax reasons even after a deletion request, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
